Franco-British artist Anna Chocola studied Fine Art at L’École des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence before turning her creative focus to millinery. She has been designing and making ladies’ hats since 2010. Originally established in Brighton, her atelier has recently relocated to the charming seaside town of Seaford, where each hat is individually crafted and shipped to customers worldwide.
Anna’s hats have graced the stage at The Gate Theatre in Dublin during the production of Piaf, and appeared at London’s BFI during one of Mira Calix’s live score performances for Hitchcock’s film Champagne. Her clients include fashion stylist Anna Bromilow and actress Eva Birthistle, who wore one of Anna’s custom designs to Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding.
Her creations have caught the attention of major fashion publications, with both ELLE US and VOGUE Italia requesting her hats for editorial shoots.
Since 2016, the London Fashion and Textile Museum shop has also been stocking her bespoke collections.
Anna takes pride in offering a tailor-made millinery service to complement any outfit, alongside a curated selection of unique, lovingly handmade pieces. Committed to the values of the slow fashion movement, she focuses on sourcing British fabrics, working with deadstock materials, and reusing fabrics wherever possible. Provenance and sustainability are at the heart of her brand.
